autumn inspiration and reading

Q's Daydream led me to these Russian Vogue photos of Ulyana Sergeenko's first line and they seriously took my breath away.
I love the clear tie to Ulyana's Western-Europe roots mixed with mid-century silhouettes.
This month, I'm reading The Most Beautiful Walk in the World by John Baxter and
A Long Long Time Ago and Essentially True by Brigid Pasulka. Both are wonderful. What are you reading right now?

I love this line! I have seen a few of the images floating around the interwebs.

I am reading books on writing by William Zinsser. I really can't recommend him enough. And Choose your own Adventure books!

It's very autumnal here all of a sudden so the fire is lit and I have a book about Welsh history to have a read of.
Have a lovely weekend.x

Amy, haha! I have NEVER read a choose your own adventure book but I think that I would love them! I'll have to pick one up sometime. I will definitely check out William Zinser.

Ivy, I got your email this morning - I'm so sorry, I've been swamped! I'm going to write you back this evening after work. :) I can't wait for the autumn to get cool. It's so neat that you have a fireplace! xo

Those are breathtaking! And you know I love the hair.

I'm reading "Air Castle of the South: WSM and the Making of Music City", by Craig Havighurst. It's about the radio station where The Grand Ole Opry originated, and thus, Nashville as we know it.
