art deco airplane

"In the Autumn of 1922,
I rose above the depths of you.
And if by boat he leaves my stare,
with grace I learn the art of air."
9x12"
acrylic on masonite
I finished this painting last night. She is available in print form here in the shop.
Painting is so therapeutic, and making up the titles is, too (even more-so).
I wish her sweater was real...I want it.
I think I can make it somewhat easily, though, so we will see! I am thinking some nice black wool felt and engraved black buttons and a thrift store cardigan.
I hope you all had a beautiful wednesday.
Lots of love,
Amanda

Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. I love this piece, her face, her hands, the clouds in the background... everything about it. Oh, and the sweater idea is superb!... Love, Mummy

Quite lovely, she has a quiet elegance that's very endearing. Earlier I was going to suggest her name be Amelia, which might be interesting alliteration with your chosen title.
