the hike from Gais to Appenzell

A morning hike I took from Gais to Appenzell on the only day the skies were clear enough to see the alps. I've never seen such expanses of green ahead of me before. I met some very sweet and friendly goats along the way and got to walk through some patches of tall black pines (something I find very iconic of Switzerland/Germany).
I hope you all had a beautiful weekend!

Each picture is stunning and unreal! The ALPS! You captured them so well! Each one is perfect, the goats the little yellow flowers... Matt's Italian family still lives on the exact opposite side of those Alps in extremely northern Italy (they spoke Swiss too). Ah! These pictures make my heart do somersaults! :) I can just hear "climb every mountainnnn" from the Sound of Music now. Enjoy the rest of the trip!

Thank you, Julia!! The alps are insane! I LOVED Northern Italy, from what I saw from the train. :) I hope you got to visit the alps, too! It was very "The Sound of Music." We should have an illustration-ladies night and watch that!!

Mumsy, thank you! :) I love you too!!
