Hello, everyone! I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
So the opening was last night, and it was wonderful! I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who came. It means so much!

With Maggie and Rachel.
My Dad and I admiring Ellen's work.
My favorite attendee of the show, Althea.
Me and Ellen.
Some of my pieces!

Me and my sister Courtney. :)

Afterwards, Jackie, Kate, Shauna, and I went to the South Street Diner, which has become my favorite after-show eating place because we've gone there 3 times now after various shows. :)

Thank you to everyone who came to show support, buy art, or say hi. I had so much fun, saw so many old and good friends, and met so many nice people (and one beautiful dog named Althea). I want to thank my family for all their support and for always attending my shows. And thanks to Ellen and Scott; it is so much fun to work with you. :)
Now that the opening has happened, I'll start posting the new pieces I painted for the show. The show is up at Space 242 until September 18th (gallery hours 6:30 pm to 8 pm on Fridays or by appointment), and Ellen, Scott, and I are giving an artist talk from 7-8 pm on September 15th. I'd love to see you there!
Now I must finish up pieces for the Teeny Tiny Art Show! I'm also moving this week, but I have a few books I want to write about, pictures from Crane Beach, and other things to share soon. I hope you all have an excellent Sunday!
Love,
Amanda

that looks like a fantastic night, so well done, be very proud etc etc, and i'm so glad all your hard work paid off for you. i cant wait to see some of your new work.
i always love reading your comments,(almost as much as your blog) and i'm so so so pleased that i'm making someone think! it worries me that people are becoming scared to think for themselves instead of taking their time and really learning, so if there's you and me out there trying, maybe education stands a chance? (fingers crossed)
and you were a literature minor? what sort of literature? (they call it english over here, it sounds dull, but i'm hoping to end up with a masters in literature...in about ten years, at my rate)

Congrats on an awesome show, fellow exhibitor!
Oops - sorry I messed up my original comment, honey!! LOVED attending your opening and meeting so many of your friends, as well as seeing lots of your old friends! So proud of you!... Mumsy
Congrats my dear! It was so great to see the new work!
Ellen, Mom, and Kate, thanks so much! :) I'm glad you were all there.
And Madeleine, thanks so much for the beautiful comment! I mostly focused on English Literature. I loved it so much. It balanced out the art classes so nicely. A masters in literature would be amazing! What are your favorite literature classes?
