It's the first of November, my favorite month of the year! In addition to being my birthday month, it also holds thanksgiving and is the perfect transitional month between autumn and winter.

I so love this painting! You know how I feel about birds and birdcages! It reminds me of my old friend, Pete, who used to sit on my shoulder and play hide-and-seek behind the kitchen curtains in our Somerville apartment back when I was a kid!... Love, Mummy
